What I saw on my journey,
Seems too real to tell,
So I try in my own way,
To take you there with me.
How I once walked dark paths,
Far from here in the North's land,
Saw what took my breath away,
What I had never known before.

I looked into the water's falls,
Behind bushes, birch groves,
Restless glances, gray the waves,
Where could she have gone?
Sleepless, restless, I search...
Silent, whispering, she doesn’t hear me...
Over rocks, mountains, and heath,
Thickets, thorns, darkness,
I search for her at night, the White,
Seek the dazzling light of heaven...
