All my tissues grow
And multiply cells like this
In the case of mitosis
Two daughter cells arise
But in interphase, before departing
After G1, the DNA duplicates
Phase 'S'
But in G2 it stops growing
The sacred DNA
Already duplicated to be coiled
Waiting for mitosis, mitosis, mitosis!

Look! Here comes prophase
Nuclear envelope dissolves and
Also the nucleolus
Centrioles
Migrate to the south and north
Metaphase and now the chromosomes
Attach to the spindle
We have the shortening
From the spindle to the breaking
Of the chromosome, there in the center
Sister chromatids move
To opposite poles: Anaphase!
Now... what was dissolved
Is what has resurfaced
And what was condensed
Has now decondensed
In telophase, I have
