El Arte de Saber Esperar

The Art of Knowing How to Wait
I watched people feeling light and I just felt weighed down
How many hits in life do you have to take?
How much ground I've covered, so many things I've lived through
I'm waiting for the sun that shines for everyone
I haven't seen it, I don't know it
The punches seem easy
And it's true, a bull behind a fence doesn't seem dangerous
They can't imagine the headaches
Waking up in the morning and saying I have nothing
I'm doing my thing, moving forward like my mom taught me
Be a man and learn to respect yourself
Good things will come with hard work one day
It's the art of knowing how to wait
And I understood it, and I'm still here
With the promise I made to my mother one day
Tough times and a life of routine
Also a lot of life in ruins, all that has shaped me
About school, I might not have been the best student
But I knew it was necessary
With a soda for six bucks and sometimes just for bread
There were hardships, but it was beautiful
Just like you, I struggled a lot too
The difference is I never complained
Today I'm still here, I got it now
With the promise I made to my mother one day
I know it's tough, but I'm going to rise above
If you can't find me, I probably went out looking for it.
