Corrido Del Padrino
Erik Estrada y sus Mal Portados
Godfather's Ballad
I have always been a hardworking man
& Here I am with my head held high
In my ranch I ride my horse
& Through the trails my 4x4
I'm a rancher, I say proudly
& I'm a resident of Rancho El Salado
I don't handle violence
My strategy is to impose respect
If they offend me, I only defend myself
& Let it be clear, I don't let anyone
Betrayals or bad habits
I don't accept them on my lands
Life has given me good things
Also bad things that I don't forget
I have lost many friendships
Unfortunately, they lost their lives
But every blow of fate
Has made me stronger, they don't weaken me
Everyone knows my name & my nickname
& Few know my face
& Although there are already several publications
That supposedly are looking for me & have my photo
But I will give them advice
I am old for a reason, don't be foolish
Every 6 years there are elections
Mexico is a country of values
I know it from border to border
For ex-president there are no re-elections
It's 6 years & they didn't take advantage
I have been in office for 30 years, gentlemen
There are those who want to conquer the world
Just because they have American bills
I will only tell you one thing
Here what stands out is the humble & simple
Wealth is carried in the mind
Be smart, work harder
I don't need to say my name
You will know who the ballad is about
& Let it be very clear
I am not a godson, I am the godfather
Rancher with boots & hat
We will see each other later, I bid farewell
