God had Moses as an intimate friend, and with him
The conversation was face to face
This relationship was special
Moses a man who turned away from evil

Lived in harmony with the Spirit of God, to the point
Of sharing his feelings
Of showing compassion when he
Showed compassion, of being saddened
By sin when he was saddened

He knew the ways through prayer
And grew in deep communion
Moses talking to God said

Don't make me go up from here Lord
Entering this land is my desire
Having an angel with me on the journey I know is good
But if you're not with me, I won't go from here

Don't make me go up from here Lord
If your presence is not with me
There at the Red Sea see what happened
Moses touched the waters and the sea parted
For there was a partnership between him and God

So touch by faith in what makes you cry
There everything will change
Touch by faith in what makes you suffer
Everything will be resolved
For there is a partnership between God and you
