Las niñas de la saye
Mojinos Escozios
The girls from the saye
Let's go to the countryside, let's go on a hike
we go singing because it's really cool, we go happy
we go radiant, some go behind and others
we go ahead.
We bring our swimsuits to swim in the river
we bring sandwiches in the backpack
we bring canteens, we bring a flashlight
we bring razors to shave our legs
we bring a cream for the mosquitoes
we bring paper to clean our little butts
we hide a bottle of moonshine
and we bring a machete to kill the snakes.
We are the girls from the saye school
we like when the nuns take us to the valley
to pick little flowers, to catch butterflies
because we are delicate like rose petals.
The nuns tell us to go to bed
and we get into the tent
and when the nuns start snoring
we take out the tobacco and start smoking.
We say a Hail Mary and two Hail Marys
we count sheep to fall asleep
and since it's so cold in the countryside
we have to sleep with the blanket tucked in.
We are the girls from the saye school
we like when the nuns take us to the valley
to pick little flowers, to catch butterflies
because we are delicate like rose petals.
