Carta aos Desinteressados
Esteban Tavares
Letter to the Uninterested
They tell me to stop smoking, drinking, taking my medications
Don't land in Congonhas, don't fly near the buildings
They tell me how to act, what are my rights
They know everything, all my flaws
What do I do with my life?
Where's the money in the statement?
I have to stay quiet about the world
While the world is getting more boring
And it's time to sleep, but I'm not tired
Embrace the pillow, boy
And pretend she's by your side
I just want to take care of myself and forget about you all
Shoot my shot in the air
Make a mistake just one more time
I just want this to end
By the end of the month
I'll learn to act crazy
So I don't lose my sanity
Who are the rude ones trying to educate me?
How should I act, proceed, and fight
Always saying what's best for me
Always trying to take something from me
I'm not a superhero
I'm not special
I don't need help from anyone nice
I don't ask for alms, or pieces of bread
There's no cure for this heart
I just want to take care of myself and forget about you all
Shoot my shot in the air
Make a mistake just one more time
I just want this to end
By the end of the month
I'll learn to act crazy
So I don't lose my sanity
Who do you think I am?
Who do you think you are?
No one will hold me when I fall to the ground
I've already fallen, no one gave me a hand
