Eu Não Desisto

I Don't Give Up
It was a matter of seconds
I was hit, then I fell to the ground
Right away I realized that my heart
Went into despair and sped up
I had to get up
But I was injured and too weak to continue
So I went to find a safer place
Took three steps, but in great pain
I fell back to the ground
But in the midst of the battle a man appeared and lay down beside me
He shook my body and noticed I was very hurt
I was dejected, bleeding, thirsty, hungry, afraid
And He held my hand, stayed by my side the whole time
With every breath I took, He came and said: It's not time to sleep
He gave me some water, a piece of bread to carry on
He said firmly: No one will die, no one will give up
And He looked into my eyes, with so much love, said to me
I don't give up on you, My child
And if necessary
I'll step into the middle of the war just to remind you
That I never give up on you, My child
And if necessary
I'll step into the middle of the war just to help you
Lean on my shoulders, don't let go, we will fight
But in the midst of the battle, he appeared and lay down beside me
He shook my body and noticed I was very hurt
I was dejected, bleeding, thirsty, hungry, afraid
And He held my hand, stayed by my side the whole time
With every breath I took, He came and said: It's not time to sleep

Lean on my shoulders, don't let go, we will fight
Lean on my shoulders, don't let go, we will fight
We will fight, we will fight
Lean on my shoulders, don't let go, we will fight
