Light, to the poets
so they don't waste words,
Light is what's missing
Clarify the ink that stains them
writing in the dark like blind

simple the difficulty.

Light in every stroke
to those who fill a painting with reason
light in every crack
to where skill sets its eyes
that when painting the depth
paint the sky
and if it can go beyond

Light to the warriors
with intelligence in the swords
light when they die
so that even when dead
they don't break

light where we lack it
to the one who twists iron
and to the one who sings
light that never is too much
so we appreciate the night
