Gólgota

Golgotha
There on the path to Golgotha I see suffering
My beloved Jesus walking
Heavy cross on his shoulders there he goes groaning
Having no one by his side to support him
I see with eyes of faith his steps in the sand
I see the place of the skull waiting for him
I see nailed to the cross with a look of tenderness
Praying and saying, Oh Father: It is finished
God, his Father from heaven, looking astonished
Seeing with pain his son going up to Calvary
Had the power to deliver him from that bitterness
But it was necessary at that time to fulfill the scripture
I see with eyes of faith his steps in the sand
I see the place of the skull waiting for him
I see nailed to the cross with a look of tenderness
Praying and saying, Oh Father: It is finished
Like a lamb of God, he did not open his mouth
And followed to the slaughter without complaining
There was no beauty in his face
Trampled for our sins without ever sinning
I see with eyes of faith his steps in the sand
I see the place of the skull waiting for him
I see nailed to the cross with a look of tenderness
Praying and saying, Oh Father: It is finished
I see with eyes of faith his steps in the sand
I see the place of the skull waiting for him
I see nailed to the cross with a look of tenderness
Praying and saying, Oh Father: It is finished
