Caminho do Gólgota

The Path of Golgotha
I imagine Jesus on the Path of Golgotha, tired of so much suffering
I imagine the thirst, the blood, and the pains, unable to say anything
I imagine the rhythm of the crowd, so blind and without compassion
He goes consciously, the innocent Lamb, it's the price of salvation
The path was so long and so painful, suffering, carrying the cross
How painful and so long was the path of my Jesus
I can see on his shoulder such a wound from the weight of the harsh cross
His feet already wounded and so bruised, my Jesus walks
The women crying and the men shouting, soldiers beating him
And the high priest commands the whip, for him it's a pleasure
Upon reaching Calvary, the pains increase, the ritual begins
They nail the holy Lamb to the wood, in front of the people
He is lifted up, hanging on the cross, between two thieves
They didn't know who he was, but he is life, Jesus the salvation
