A Gaivota
Eulene Mesquita
The Seagull
I wanted to fly like a seagull
And enter through the door, through, the, door, of heaven
And be able to contemplate, the heavenly mansion
Where my master is, always reigning
Sleeping I dream of the wonders
That exist in heaven
Kept and separated for the faithful
Those whom Christ will snatch away
Will contemplate streets and rivers
Of crystal clear waters, angels flying
In the divine clouds
Happy is the one whom Christ takes
I wanted to fly like a seagull
And enter through the door, through the doors of heaven
And be able to contemplate the heavenly mansion
Where my master is always reigning
Don't waste your time, come
Running, accept Jesus
He is the way, the truth, and the light
And one day that door will close
The hours pass and the door of grace remains open
If the trumpet sounds, that door will close
And many crying will lament
