Añoranzas
Eva Ayllón
Longings
Sailing the blue sea of my daydreams
I had so many longings for my land
Serenades on the balconies miraculous processions
Each town keeping its traditions alive
And the coast captivated by the waves
And the sierra nurtured by the rain
And the green jungle rocked by my song
My land is a paradise, a charm
Peru, you are my land, my heartbeats echo for you
I thank the sky for being born here
There was no better gift for me
I am from the land of the Inca and Friar Martin
Peru, the soul of your people
Spreads from the sea to the east
I know that destiny holds me
To walk different paths
That's why I ask God to die there...
