La Luna Y El Toro
Eydie Gorme Y Trio Los Panchos
The Moon and the Bull
The moon is getting ready
In the river's reflections.
And a bull is watching her
Hidden among the brush.
When the cheerful morning arrives
And the moon slips away from the river,
The little bull jumps into the water
Charging as he sees she's gone.
That bull in love with the moon
Who leaves the herd at night,
Is painted with poppy and olive,
And the foreman named him Bellringer.
The rowers from the hills
Kiss his forehead,
The stars in the sky
Shower him with silver,
And the little bull, so fierce,
Of noble breed,
His legs look like
Colorful fans.
The moon is coming tonight
In a flowing gown,
And the bull is waiting for her
Among the brush and shadows.
In the water's surface of the river
Where the moon sleeps,
The jealous little bull "lost"
Watches over her like a sentinel.
