Jesús Ha Vuelto a La Tierra
Facundo Cabral
Jesus Has Returned to Earth
Jesus has returned to earth
My heart and your heart know it
But we have so many distractions that we still can't find him
Maybe he served us coffee in Buenos Aires
Or works in Cordova
Or helped us recover democracy
He was a shoemaker in Tucuman
But my heart knows as your hearts know
That Jesus has returned to earth
Jesus walks the earth, who could find him
To leave the darkness that harms us so much
Maybe he walks the seas as he did once
Or he is crossing the desert or being reborn in Bethlehem
This is the saddest thing that could happen to us
To know he is with us and not know where he is
He may be the one who gathers the grapes
Or the one who sings the songs
He may be the one who cares for the flowers
Or the one who cleans the city
He may be the one who kneads the bread
Or the one who cares for the horses
He may be the one who studies the stars
Or the one who just comes and goes
This is the saddest thing that could happen to us
To know he is with us and not know where he is
To know he is with us and not know where he is
Make money, make it quickly and abundantly dishonestly
The important thing is to make it and if there is no other choice, do it decently
And when you have it, enjoy it a lot
Because at any moment you will have to give it back
To the last coin, to the last bone because no one takes anything from here
