Mi Lugar

I was born on the banks of these shores
I am a child like any other from here
who treasures its customs and traditions
and feels so happy because of it

I like to arrive early at school
where we usually sing together
to my sky-blue and white flag
that Manuel Belgrano has taught me to love

My respects to the great ones of my land
to those who have taught me to cultivate
this remarkable and deep feeling
for everything that is in my place

I look far beyond my borders
I know it's useful to study other languages
but I always say so it's known
I prefer the language of my place

For your rivers, valleys, mountains, and ravines
for its hills, plains, and also its sea
how many poets have written songs
so we can get to know it more.
