O Sacrifício

There are many stories I've heard
Talking about the life of Jesus
Countless miracles I didn't see
Pains that no one could ever feel
So many sacrifices He made
He gave up his life for love
He was born as a man being God Himself
And was rejected by his own
But of all that He went through
There's no greater gesture
Than the sacrifice that brought us light
The sacrifice on the cross

The Sacrifice made by Christ
Doesn't just sum up to that one on the cross
Leaving his throne and living the dream
Of having us back in his light
It was an act of love
But what truly saved us
Was the greatest of all
The sacrifice on the cross

I still think about all I've heard
How can a man love us so much?
Carrying my sins on his shoulders
Taking all the blame in my place
What will I do so that all He did won't be in vain
But transform the heart?
The sacrifice made on the cross for me
Now I must repay

The sacrifice that brought us salvation
I will accept, I won't deny!

It was the greatest of all
The Sacrifice on the cross!
