Madrugadas em Oração

She always woke up early, always the last to go to sleep
We never heard a complaint from her for dedicating so much to us
When everyone was asleep almost at dawn
She knelt down and I could hear:
"Give me oh God Your strength!"

My mother spent the early mornings always praying
If questioned about her reasons, she said it was out of love
She knew that Jesus was waiting for her as she knelt on the ground
I thank my mother for the prayers, and early morning prayers

My mother set the example and I follow what she taught
Today I have my family and I know what it is to pray alone
In those moments I cry out to Christ for His strength and power
For I know He hears a father's prayer in the midst of the early morning
