When I married you, back in our corner of the world
So much that we dreamed of, having a home, a piece of ground
From sunup to sundown I worked, built a mud and thatch hut
And in the evening, played on the ground with the children

Home is people united, with whom God comes to dwell on earth
Home is forgiveness and harmony, where tears don't stay
Home is people, home is not a place

Soon the boys grew up, our small hut became cramped
I went to work in the city, suddenly we became rich
I bought a beautiful house, my life was just work
I had things, but now I didn't have my home

I would give everything back, to have my home back
