Cadeira de Rodas
Fernando Mendes
Wheelchair
Sitting by the door, in her wheelchair she stayed
Her beautiful eyes without joy, crying so sad
But when I walked by, her sadness would end
Her little mouth would instantly smile at me
That girl was the happiness I had longed for
But I didn’t have the guts
And I never told her about my great love
And now, I don’t know where she is
Today I live suffering and without joy
I didn’t have enough courage to make up my mind
That girl in her wheelchair
I’d give anything to see her smile again
Sitting by the door, in her wheelchair she stayed
Her beautiful eyes without joy, crying so sad
But when I walked by, her sadness would end
Her little mouth would instantly smile at me
That girl was the happiness I had longed for
But I didn’t have the guts
And I never told her about my great love
And now, I don’t know where she is
Today I live suffering and without joy
I didn’t have enough courage to make up my mind
That girl in her wheelchair
I’d give anything to see her smile again
