Tempos de Criança

Childhood Times
I'm going to take a walk in the past
To revisit my distant time
I'm going to play like a child to see
If I scare away this excruciating pain
Just because today I'm grown up
This thing tightens and gnaws at me
Seeing the world in a real way
I can't bear this pain that hurts me
In memory I sway and go see
The place where I lived as a child
Those boyish games
That little house where I was born
The wooden donkey of umburana
The rhythm of my berimbau
I'm going to play my spinning top
I'm going to ride my stick horse
And after this beautiful ride
Through the world I had as a child
I don't know how I'll resist
The effect of the big change
I'll lower my head feeling
How much age messes with us
Then I'll return to the world I'm in
To feed on nostalgia (repeat)
