Vilja-Lied

Vilja Song
There lived a Vilja, a forest maiden
A hunter saw her in the rocky cliffs
The lad felt so strange
He looked and kept looking at the forest maiden
And an unknown shiver
Seized the young hunter
Longingly
He began to sigh quietly
'Vilja, oh Vilja, you forest maiden
Embrace me and let me be your sweetheart!
Vilja, oh Vilja, what are you doing to me!
Anxious pleads a lovesick man
The forest maiden reached out her hand to him
And pulled him into her rocky house
The lad's senses almost faded
No earthly child loves and kisses like this!
When they had kissed their fill
She disappeared at that moment
Once more
The poor man greeted her
