Uma Florzinha
Flor de Luz
A Little Flower
A tiny little flower
Wonderful, pink in color
I want it for myself, I do
I don't hesitate, I hold the stem
And, without delay, I pull it out
At that moment, the plant cries
And the little flower that was mine
Soon withered
Another tiny little flower
Wonderful, pink in color
I want it for myself, I do
I'm afraid it will wither soon
But I want it so much that I don't wait
I pull it out and take it away
But the little flower that was mine
Also withered
Another tiny little flower
Wonderful, pink in color
I want it for myself, but I think
It's no use taking it from the plant
Because the beauty of nature
Is only felt when it's alive
Every little flower is better left
In the same place
