Carta Necesaria
Servando Y Florentino
Necessary Letter
Today, years after I left, I realize I’m still
part of their lives. I fought to keep my town
united, now it hurts to see it poor and divided.
If we love our land, why is there division? Until I get
an answer, my heart will keep screaming...
Venezuela, you have a woman’s name and we must love you to see
you thrive.
Venezuela, I was born from your womb and if I lived again, I’d die for you,
I’d die for you...
When the parties stop and there’s unity, I’ll be at peace and my
pain will finally rest.
Never fear the darkness, what matters are the steps we must take
within it.
"I can’t give freedom to those souls destined to be
prisoners of their thoughts, not their actions."
"Bolivarians, we are all those who live in freedom, not those
who are slaves to a political ideal that divides us."
If we love our land, why is there division? Until I get
an answer, my heart will keep screaming...
Venezuela, you have a woman’s name and we must love you to see
you thrive.
Venezuela, I was born from your womb and if I lived again, I’d die for you,
I’d die for you...
I want this letter sent urgently, it’s for my homeland,
deliver it into the hands of your conscience. Though it’s not the first
letter I’ve written, this one is very necessary.
From the sky of Caracas... I say goodbye...
