The Traveler
Yeah, time is a relative thing
If today were yesterday, tomorrow would be today
Either way, I'm chillin'
Just the way it is, it's all good
Like the landlord used to say
Who knows what the gorilla thinks?
I quit my job, traveled, and fell into the world
I’m gonna see the world with the world as my host
Forests, rivers, cities, and coastlines
People, feelings, traditions, and rituals
I’ll put my feet on trails, rocks, and mangroves
Connecting my kids to my ancestors
I’ll be true to my real self
I want to serve, I want to teach, I came to learn
I feel at home anywhere
But I’m a tourist everywhere
I’m a traveler anywhere
I’m a part of the whole
In a dream, I was like the wind and could fly
I flew to see the wonders of each place
I danced with the natives, dove among the corals
Chatted with an old dude who was amazing
I saw dreadlocks and confetti dancing in the air
And three friends hugging each other till they overflowed
Grateful, I applauded the sunset
Wherever I go, I’ll have your fire as my lighthouse
I feel at home anywhere
But I’m a tourist everywhere
I’m a traveler anywhere
I’m a part of the whole
It’s a big world, your child conquered the dark
I unified my body with yours
And there’s no more "me"
I feel at home anywhere
But I’m a tourist everywhere
I’m an interstellar traveler
I’m a part of the whole
