Viaje de Regreso
Fother Muckers
Return Journey
At twenty, he was ready to travel
To the land where his parents were born.
He couldn't sleep the night before leaving
No video prepared him for the truth.
When he got off and felt a gust and the sun
He couldn't contain the excitement.
To the clouds, it seemed he could breathe
The sky was so blue.
He never asked to be the first human born
On the moon, now he didn't know what to think.
He got scared when a walnut tree shook
And a hundred birds flew out.
He liked seeing dogs chasing cars
And the smell of bread at six.
In a park, he saw a thousand women he wanted to kiss
He was almost run over by a truck.
On a bridge, he stayed thinking about the sea
He would have gone but his heart burst.
