A Mi Manera

The end is drawing near, I’ll face it calmly,
You see, I’ve always been this way, I’ll tell you honestly.
I lived with intensity and never found any borders,
I played without resting, I did it my way.

I never lived a love that meant much to me,
I just took the flower and the best of every moment.
I traveled and enjoyed, not sure if more than anyone else,
But still, it was all done my way.

Maybe I cried, maybe I laughed,
Maybe I won, maybe I lost.
Now I know I was happy, that if I cried, I also loved,
And it was all, I can say, I did it my way.

Perhaps I doubted when I was having the most fun,
Maybe I dismissed what I didn’t understand.
Today I know I was strong and faced being who I was,
