El Mar
Francisca Valenzuela
The Sea
The sea whispers melodies to the Moon
And tells her when it lived inside a blue figure
Shaping her body with silk skin and crystal eyes
Conquering the whole world with her breath
It was useless to confess that she belonged to the sea
And that she was nothing more than water
Fleeing from the golden prison
Alone she called for her blue figure to appear
Singing songs to the stars, piercing the sky
Receiving tears from the
Wet clouds that kissed her lips
In truth
She sang songs to the stars
Piercing the sky
Receiving tears from the
Wet clouds that kissed her lips
And she sang songs to the stars
Piercing the sky with her sadness
Receiving tears from the
Wet clouds that kissed her lips
In truth
In truth
