La Fortaleza

Everything that has happened has led me to today
I look ahead at the horizon, bury the guilt and leave
I pack my suitcase, take a deep breath, and don't look back
The setting sun, the rising sun will accompany me

I believed what they said, I wanted to hear
A scream lived waiting for release, begged for freedom
A whole life in fantasy without being able to look at myself
And now I see how I can start over

I'll sweep away whatever comes
With my pen and my poem
I'll cross the mountain range

I'll be the calm that holds the center of the earth

And I won't continue living in the past if it's not here
I stand tall in this moment and the inner strength will come out
