You, why, the question that always
Gave meaning to life, I can't find it with you
No hidden answer, without why

It's not because when you look into my eyes, you see divine lights
There was no illusion, no fantasy
And I feel more alone than yesterday, when you were still nothing
And my eyes discover the same reason in your gaze
And believing ourselves civilized, we say, see you tomorrow
So sure that a bit empty, there's no room for another tear
A thousand dreams and a why, because only love
Gives meaning to meeting tomorrow
Now all we have left is exhaustion, naked in bed
Laughing at our desires, and I feel more alone than yesterday

Why this lie, but to the creed of the civilized we say
