My Little Donkey
There's a cute little donkey
by the side of the road,
she's got dainty hooves
and her fur is nice and smooth!
When I saw her so pretty,
I asked for her heart
and the little donkey said,

And since then,
I've been sighing
and while I sigh, I think of you,
gentle little donkey of the meadows,
you with your fluffy little hairs.
I'll be a poet,
I'll grow my hair long!
I'll write a poem for you
because you said with a bray,
