Baile de Los Muñecos
Francisco Gabilondo Soler (Cri Cri)
Dance of the Dolls
When the clock strikes three in the morning
The dolls start to dance.
The house is asleep,
No one will see them,
And they come out of their boxes
Ready to enjoy.
The first one to arrive
Is the mustached soldier
On his cardboard horse,
And then Felix the cat
And Pinocchio in a little cart
Pulled by a good mouse.
The hen and little Miguel come together,
Little Red Riding Hood comes behind in a truck
And holding hands
We dolls jump around
Until the sun appears.
The surprise doll
Poking its head out
Scared everyone:
Either you quiet down nicely
Or I'll pull your hair
Because you won't let me sleep!
Felix the cat approached and swiped
At the big-nosed one, back to his box.
Even if the silly clown
Gets grumpy, we'll keep dancing
Until the sun appears.
