The Griddle and the Pot
The Griddle said to the Pot:
"Hey Pot, hey, hey!
if you have thought that I am a support
find someone else to lean on.
And the Pot turned to the first one:
Barefoot, rude!
I'm in the boiling of the beans
and not a soul will leave for you all the embers.
The Griddle said to the Pot:
When it crackles, don't push!
With your soot you have already spoiled for sure
the elegance that I brought.
And the Pot almost faints:
Conceited! well, well;
they brought you from the square all dirty
and not a soul will say you're a screen heartthrob.
The Griddle said to the Pot:
Don't come near, yuck, yuck!
I've told you morning, afternoon, and night
and there's no way you listen to me.
But the other one replied making noise:
Oh, scoundrel, don't bother me!
if I catch you I'll turn you into clay pots
and not a soul will shout for the patrol to come.
The Griddle looked at his partner:
What did you say? You're already old!
If you can't handle the quelites soup
much less lentils!
And the Pot replied boldly:
Look young man, just beans!
It's been a century since the potter made you
and not a soul will hide the hundred years you swallow.
