Elephant Dad
Early to eat
Daddy Elephant arrived;
He loosened his belt,
He let go of the two straps.
And Daddy Elephant,
happy and big-bellied,
served himself his soup
with the ladle.
Next to him, a little elephant
was sitting
not eating, just playing
hitting the spoon.
Come on, son, have your soup.
And when you eat, don't make noise with your mouth.
But daddy,
I don't like
lentil or bean soups!
I want a big piece
of that lemon cake.
