L'amitié
Françoise Hardy
Friendship
Many of my friends came from the clouds
With sun and rain as simple luggage
They made the season of sincere friendships
The most beautiful season of the four on earth
They have the sweetness of the most beautiful landscapes
And the loyalty of passing birds
In their hearts is engraved an infinite tenderness
But sometimes sadness creeps into their eyes
So they come to warm up at my place
And you too will come
You can go back to the depths of the clouds
And smile again at many other faces
Spread around you a bit of your tenderness
When another wants to hide their sadness from you
As we don't know what life gives us
It may be that in turn I am no longer anyone
If I have a friend who truly understands me
I will forget both my tears and my sorrows
So, maybe I will come to your place
Warm my heart by your fire
