Ça a Raté
Françoise Hardy
It Failed
One day as I was walking alone in the street
A boy unknown suddenly approached me
I acted like I heard nothing, saw nothing, and ignored him
But it failed
The next day by chance as I was walking
I saw him without delay coming to approach me again
To discourage him, I talked about myself non-stop
But it failed
He said, 'What are you doing tonight?'
And he insisted so well
That until midnight and later
Together yes we twisted
He said, 'What are you doing tonight?'
And he insisted so well
That until midnight and later
Together yes we twisted
We see each other every day and should I admit
I am caught in turn because I believe I love him
Me who wanted to avoid him at all costs
I am very happy that it failed
Me who wanted to avoid him at all costs
I am very happy that it failed
Me who wanted to avoid him at all costs
I am very happy that it failed
