God
Gagarin, the first astronaut, gave this stupid answer to a stupid question: 'No, up there in the sky I haven't seen God and I haven't heard Him.
Up there in the sky. But who is He? What does He do? What does He ask us to do?
The astronaut? God?
But which one?
Which God?
Distant,
powerful,
dominant,
overpowering,
who decides
for us?
Immobile engine,
oppressive?
No, no, no!
A god like that shouldn't be worshipped
and if He exists, He should be eliminated
because He's a despot, an unjust tyrant,
a bloodthirsty vampire,
who sucks the life out of us.
Instead, what we believe in
is a god who is human.
He was even nailed.
And if it's truly God
who dies there,
it means that God is love.
The God we believe in
always present,
just wants to live and love.
Even though man is fragile,
he gets involved,
involved in the project of love.
Close,
tender,
delicate,
who proposes
and involves you,
man,
in the project
that is life
true,
strong,
fulfilling.
God is love
that doesn't explain love.
He simply loves us,
dying for us,
showing us how to love.
Absence of power,
lack of possession.
And it's not explained,
it's lived.
