Christ, I want to be an instrument
Of your peace and your infinite love
Where there is hatred and resentment
May I bring harmony, may I bring love!
Where there is hurtful offense
May I bring forgiveness
Where there is discord
May I bring unity and your peace
Even if there is only one heart
That doubts goodness, love, and heaven
I want firmly to proclaim
The word that brings clarity of faith!
Where there is error, Lord
May I bring truth, a fruit of your light!
Where there is despair
May I bring hope in your name, Jesus!
Where I find a brother
Crying in sadness, voiceless and unheard
I want to sow joy in their heart
To bloom gratitude!
Master, may I know how to love
To understand, to console, and to give without receiving!
I want to forgive even more
To work towards the conquest and victory of peace!
