La Sirena
Funambulista
The Siren
The day I met you, I had lost all belief
I had gone out for a walk in the dead of night
The life I imagined wasn’t what I expected
There were millions of questions, and I doubted everything
So I sat down at a café, staring out the window
Someone once told me: You bit the apple
At night, there are things you can’t see, you’ll think about it tomorrow
Suddenly, it started to rain
And then you appeared
Full Moon eyes
You were coming from working at the siren's bar
You wore a blue skirt
Smelling like mint
And the street and the stars lit up with light
And then you appeared
Setting my heart on fire
Like on the night of San Juan
The pain burned away
Suddenly stopping the noise
I’m so glad you came, my love
We talked about the two of us
About things that come to an end
Trips still left to take
About music from the past
And on the way to the hotel, we had no clothes on
Naked at dawn, the Sun greeted us
I don’t know if it was you, but I was trembling
Two wild beasts finding peace after the battle
We left love
Tattooed on that bed
The pain of both of us jumped out the window
And then you appeared
Full Moon eyes
You were coming from working at the siren's bar
You wore a blue skirt
Smelling like mint
And the street and the stars lit up with light
And then you appeared
Setting my heart on fire
Like on the night of San Juan
The pain burned away
Suddenly stopping the noise
I’m so glad you came, my love
And then you appeared
Full Moon eyes
You were coming from working at the siren's bar
You wore a blue skirt
Smelling like mint
And the street and the stars lit up with light
And then you appeared
Setting my heart on fire
Like on the night of San Juan
The pain burned away
Suddenly stopping the noise
I’m so glad you came, my love
