Coração Deserto
Fundo de Quintal
Desert Heart
Today I am one more love that didn't work out
I'm one more that got lost in this desert
If only your heart
Were the spring full of emotion, how I wish
If instead of grass in this poor soil
A garden would bloom, how nice
How nice it would be to water our love
It would be good for the bud to turn into a flower
To strengthen, never die again
And this barren land that is your heart
Could then bloom
Nature would be us two
Lots of beauty forever and beyond
But your ground was a great illusion, great desert
That's why today I am...
What a shame that spring is not just about flowers
Nor life just about loves
Stones roll on the paths
A thousand pieces of affection that make us stumble, have mercy
What a shame if even the rainbow loses its colors
When the clouds kiss the sea
If the songs no longer speak of roses
Serenaders no longer make verses
Conversing with the moon
Behind all poetry
There was a woman's face
In a sweet touch of magic
Enchanting hearts
And the dim lanterns illuminated old passions
They are gone, the guitars and the songs
That no longer enchant
