Today I woke up looking at the TV
and I can't believe what I have before my eyes
there's talk of war with a lot of concern
they say it's something against the terrorists
and on one side there are many who favor it
but on the other hand, there are many who also oppose it
some say that's what they deserve
and others pray for them to finally react

and we see the front page of the newspaper at every stand
every magazine has a divided world
and everyone has their point of view
we see different opinions all over the earth
some want peace and others prefer
to go to war and in the midst of all that surprises me how much we have
changed because we no longer see the strength of
that unity we saw in the past
where are those who sank
that day we were bombed yesterday they were united
but today they have all separated
because with the passing of time it seems we have forgotten

as I continue watching TV I see that the world
continues with the same story they keep saying it's a mistake
while others fight for victory
on the other hand, tension keeps rising
many condemn everything that is happening
the frustration of the whole world is growing
as the list of fallen keeps increasing

We criticize war and all violence
but among us discord reigns many
who resist with protests
continue to point fingers mercilessly saying it's an abuse
against many people that there are thousands of children
dying but we have forgotten that the innocent
due to abortion are still dying today

and while on the front page what I keep seeing
is the same news
there's a world lost in sin because
of greed
the family is a species in danger
but we don't want to see it
divorce is on the rise but no one wants to solve it
and in the midst of all that I realize why everything has changed
and it's because all the values we had we have frozen
there's a need for us to look back and return to the past
remember the pain of Jesus when he was crucified
because with the passing of time it seems we have forgotten

Spoken: We worry about terrorism in Afghanistan
and in Iraq
but we don't worry about terrorism
in homes children rise up against parents
parents against children domestic violence child abuse
the towers didn't fall on 9/11 the first one fell in 1962
when they took prayer out of schools
and the second one in 1963 when abortion was legalized
friend the family is a species in danger.
