Maintenant Je Sais
Gabin Jean
Now I Know
When I was a kid, as tall as three apples
I spoke very loudly to be a man
I said, I know, I know, I know, I know
It was the beginning, it was spring
But when I turned 18
I said, I know, that's it, this time I know
And today, the days when I turn around
I look at the ground where I still took the 100 steps
And I still don't know how it turns!
Around 25, I knew everything: love, roses, life, money
Oh yes love! I had been around it all!
And fortunately, like friends
I hadn't eaten all my bread
In the middle of my life, I learned again
What I learned can be summed up in three or four words
The day someone loves you, the weather is very nice
I can't say it better, it's very nice!
This is still what amazes me in life
I who am in the autumn of my life
We forget so many sad evenings
But never a morning of tenderness!
All my youth I wanted to say I know
Only, the more I searched, the less I knew
The clock struck 60 times ago
I'm still at my window, I look, and I wonder?
Now I know, I know you never know!
Life, love, money, friends and roses
We never know the noise or the color of things
That's all I know!
But I know that!
