Insular
Your color drowns me, you told me
You’ll never be able to hold me back
Save your color, you told me
Before you leave my insular body
Thunder's coming, here comes the pain!
The bee feeds on me, I’m her flower
I’m burning in the fire of your sting
Stuck in my insular body
I howl at night to the fire like a coyote to the thunder
Today your absence takes shape at my door
I write among the scraps, I compose an alphabet
With the handwriting of my loneliness
I’m not a continent, I float in the current
Adrift, I’m a desert in the sea
I surrender as I feel to the storm, to the wind
I let myself be swallowed in the exit and in the salt
I’m fading, it’s my right
I want to come out broken to keep beating insular
