Me and the Ironing Board
Another day I
Was at home feeling like in prison
Playing darts on the TV
Stressed, tired of this crazy life
I looked to the side and saw the woman ironing
My blue underwear, the color of the sea
Made me want to catch a wave with my ironing board
And, to escape the routine
I lit a candle because there was no wax
Everything's set - 'Where are you going, love?' Let's go to the beach... -
'Let's go to the beach?! Oh! Who are you going with?'
Me, the board, and no one else -
'And the clothes to iron?'
Ah, forget it
Today I won't need the suit
Pass me the board and let me relax...
And let everything else go to hell
I'm two steps from paradise...
Me and the ironing board
Fighting on the front line of everyday war
I seek a truce on the horizon line
And find an ocean
Sometimes I feel like a fish out of water and suddenly start to cry
But now I see so much water in front of me that I don't even know where to start
'Where do I go in, fisherman?' (-Ah, I don't know!)
So I go on instinct, grab a board and let's see what happens
I start to paddle
And at first I keep getting hit by waves on my head non-stop
The struggle is temporary
But I always stay alert like a scout
Because the sea is treacherous
And I love the sea, but I hate this smell
Of leptospirosis, hepatitis, that's what's not lacking
Should have come with an astronaut suit
Because if I fall off this board
I'll take a dive from that wave and a gulp of that water
I'm two steps from paradise...
Me and the ironing board
If the sea turns into desert and the desert turns into sea, I'll live in the desert with my ironing board
Because this is too good, this is too damn good - '...Behind!!!!'
Should have seen my face of excitement: me and the board inside the salon
Wanted to take a picture when the jet sprayed
To show my kids, how beautiful, damn...
At least somewhere I feel at peace
Away from trivial problems
I need to breathe a little
Sailing is necessary, otherwise I go crazy
The tide is not good out there in the sea
But those in the water are meant to get wet
And I move forward
Rowing against the current
Just to exercise
And in the falls that life gives me
My salvation board is my ironing board
'Far from land, close to water, inside the sea...
Far from war, me and the board, me and the ironing board...'
They say there are sharks here
But my wife came to get me with the hot iron in hand
Calling me on the shore
And here I am still waiting for the last call
I'm two steps from paradise...
Me and the ironing board
