A Cura Tá No Coração (feat. Cynthia Luz)

The Cure Is In The Heart (feat. Cynthia Luz)

Everyone sleeps, each one dreaming in their cell
I'm running away from madness, looking out the window
I didn't sleep, the pandemic has already left a mark
Poetry seeks me and I never run away from it
Isolated, but not so much, I'm connected
But I feel abandoned like a castaway on a deserted island
Missing the warmth of a tight hug
My lungs are working, but my chest tightens
When I think about this virus and various issues
In the most recent past and everything we went through together
Thinking well, together not really, more or less
More towards less than more, we were never together
Each with their own problems, solving them through hatred
Every man for himself, and anything goes to reach the podium
Each in their own bubble, everything else is the enemy
Each making choices, looking at their own belly
The beggar sleeping there has a smile on his face
Is he dreaming laughing at the faces of those who pass by frowning?
What a rare happiness!
Does he always sleep like that and we don't notice?
Some people mask themselves with a fake smile
And only when they take off the mask do we see they're traitors
Like Judas with Jesus, this story is ancient
It happened 2020 years before Corona!
The cure is in the heart
Just seek to love more than to be loved
Where there is discord, bring unity
We're together and our love will never be stopped
Windows without bars, without anxiety, living truly, can't pretend
Barbecue on the corner, Sistine Chapel, Great Wall of China, places to go
The view is so beautiful, seems more psychedelic than Dali's paintings
I melt the clocks as time is smoke
And the storm passes for the Sun to rise
Without haste, the story restarts with the homeless man alone in the square
When a street sweeper arrives, sweeping the trash and talking about a creature
That is caught even in the air, through the mouth and nose
Bringing fear and misery, making the world unhappy
He bends down, picks up a piece of bread from the trash and says
Princess, the lack of air for some can be useful
To value what is simple instead of what is futile
And last night I had a dream and now I'm sure
Nature is cleaning up like you do
Taking many good people to another dimension
To see if those who stay learn a little more
To see if we now listen to the voice that screams
In the forest, in the glacier and in every corner of the Earth
And realize that we are even capable of stopping the war
To seek a peaceful solution when the gear gets stuck
Those who err push others into the hole
And everyone is in the same boat but it's not Noah's Ark
Only the human sinks with his ego and even gold loses its shine
When a father coming home can't hug his child
Yes, the virus stole our hugs
For us to remember the importance of these bonds
Friendship, kindness, forgiveness and mercy
And maybe we bring unity where there is discord
Light where there is darkness, hope where there is despair
That we understand that wealth is not money
And that warriors of all services are essential
And that we remember this on normal days!
