La Società Dei Magnaccioni
Gabriela Ferri
The Society of Pimps
Make way for us,
these young men from this beautiful Rome,
we are guys made with a brush
and we make the girls fall in love.
And we make the girls fall in love!
But what do we care, what does it matter
if the host watered down the wine,
and we tell him, and we make it clear:
'You watered it down and we won't pay.'
But we are the ones
who answer in unison:
'It's better the wine from the Castelli
than from this filthy society.'
And if by chance the mother-in-law dies
we make two 'matriciana' spaghetti,
we drink a couple of liters of 'Velletri',
we get drunk and don't think about it anymore.
We get drunk and don't think about it anymore!
But what do we care, what does it matter
if the host watered down the wine,
and we tell him, and we make it clear:
'You watered it down and we won't pay.'
But we are the ones
who answer in unison:
'It's better the wine from the Castelli
than from this filthy society.'
We like chickens,
lamb and hens,
because they are boneless,
not like cod.
The society of Pimps,
the society of youth,
we like to eat and drink
but we don't like to work.
Bring us another liter,
because we'll drink it,
and then we'll answer:
'What? What's up?'
And when the wine (what's up),
reaches the throat (what's up),
the gullet (what's up),
It makes a joke (what's up).
To make it short, to make it brief:
'My dear host, bring us something to drink.'
To drink! To drink!
Olé!!
