Teco-Teco
Gal Costa
Teco-Teco
Teco, teco, teco, teco, teco
In the marble ball was my life
When I was a child among the kids
With the bag by my side
I only played for real
I didn't make doll clothes nor did I socialize
With the girls from my neighborhood, it was natural
I climbed poles, flew kites
Until I was fourteen, that was my trouble
With the habit of a playful girl
Everywhere I went
I found a fan
When there was a party at the local chapel
I was the first one called to go sing
Living like this, I saw my name being talked about
Everywhere, by everyone
Even by those who never saw me
And today my great joy
Is to sing with courtesy
For the people of Brazil
