The Conquest
One day a conqueror arrived on this land
Staining with blood the ground he stepped on
He didn't respect the culture of the place
Nor the history of this ancient people
He wanted gold, wealth, and treasure
Then the land and also slavery
Tibiriçá, Araribóia, Ajuricaba said no
One day the Indian fought against the white invader
And the war of brave warriors began
Bows and arrows against the power of the cannon
The war of the Indians decimated my nation
They brought the cross but used muskets
And the Amerindian resisted the invasion
They called for death and the massacre of my people
Civilization
The white man arrived, to conquer
The black man arrived, to work
Uniting races and beliefs of peoples
Coming from overseas
