Au Coeur de La Terre
Garou
In the Heart of the Earth
Not too long ago
I went down
Into the heart of the earth
I thought I’d find
My lost love
Like a lonely diamond
I won’t tell you
What I saw there
In the heart of the earth
All the dreams that flew away
Of humanity
Paraded before my eyes
And I found the key
To paradise lost
In the heart of the earth
I found the treasure island
Buried under the sea
On a bed of golden sand
In the heart of the earth
I saw lost cities
But my lost love
I never found again
I rode the horses
Of the conquistadors
In the heart of the earth
And I clashed swords
With the armies
Of Nebuchadnezzar
I crossed wars
Stepped over bodies
Turned to stone
I crossed borders
That no longer exist
And I even met
Three or four dinosaurs
Who gave me their salute
In the heart of the earth
I found a green tree
With its head upside down
It had turned to glass
I recognized there
The tree of forbidden fruit
But my lost love
I never found again
In the heart of the earth
I found a meteor
Why does its light
Still burn my body
But was this meteor
The heart of the earth?
Or maybe still
Was it my lost love...
