A Cruz e Os Cravos

The Cross and The Nails
Jesus Christ condemned
A signed decree, prescribed to die
An order from the Palace, authorized by Pilate
How it would be
Ordered to make the nails, pure steel pointed
To pierce the Master's hands
A crown of thorns
To tear blood vessels, ordered to make there
Gave an order to the carpenter
Shape the wood today for a criminal to use
He will be humiliated
By soldiers whipped, injuring Him until bleeding
Pilate also ordered
The wood he cut, make it in the shape of a cross
He will be taken, today will be tortured
The Son of God, Jesus
On the cross the Master was crucified
But on the third day He rose
Soon He sent for Peter
And said these words with love
Take care of my sheep, Peter
Tell the people I will speak to you
I came to save humanity
I don't want to condemn any of them
Go to those who forged the nails
Tell them I forgive
And to those who wove the crown of thorns, I forgive
For those who built the cross
And hung My body
I want to save their soul
And I give My forgiveness to them
On the cross the Master was crucified
But on the third day He rose
Soon He sent for Peter
And said these words with love
Take care of my sheep, Peter

Go to those who forged the nails

And to those who wove the crown of thorns, I forgive
For those who built the cross

And I give My forgiveness to them
I want to save their soul
